The Band
: have been beavering away for 'time' getting the set right and all that. We can now reveal the full electric band line-up:

Slim - guitar / vox, Richard Harrison - bass, Andy Adams - drums

Andy is a genius sticksman / engineer / producer who searched us out after hearing the record thru a mate, much more than a drummer, and Rich rocks - he played in Tom Vek's live band for his last tour, so he's been there.

'Tis sounding ace btw - cannot wait to get it out but trust me you will have to wait. talking early autumn. We're reworked / arranged a bunch ofandy_sepia.jpg the album tracks, and done some wicked new ones already. there's a demo of one of these - 'Arrive Alive' - on the myspace jukebox. overall it's getting darker and angrier. Might be a heady brew, but it's shot through with happy bright stuff too, which is good. we're kinda toying with the idea of a reworked band name - along the lines of 'Slim & The _ _ _ _ _ _' or 'Slim & _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _' or something new altogether but it's still in the prototype period. suggestions on a postcard.

UPDATE FEBRUARY 2006 - gigs frenzy! and news!
Phew! This year is racing on fast. Took me a couple of weeks to shake off the post-festive blues but now i'm at it. have had some blinding gigs already but theres tonnes more to come. Been getting me head into doing live looping onstage for my current gigs which is working a treat - 10 part harmonies on the fly - nice!

On with the show though, and i'm looking at building a band around the tunes now. got a couple of real interesting links that i'm checking out - well i got fairly blasted in camden with a drummer who is into 'the project' so that's the perfect start! before you know it slim could be a three piece. anyhow it's all gravy.

Macbeth_26_Feb_slim_1.jpgRight - the score is that as i type, we have five (count 'em) top gigs in the next two months for you to check out. my fingers will be tough as nails by easter. Pick of the bunch is Filthy McNasty's in Amwell St near Angel on Tues 21st Feb. Sounds like a great venue - seems Shane McGowan used to own it - i need to check it out sharpish. And it's on a weeknight which should please all you dopey goin-out-on-a-sunday-haters. well check out the live page as usual for all the info, and .... see you out there! s x 03.02.06

*NEWS EXTRA* slim is helping out his mate Jon's band Safari Season by playing bass for them at their next gig. it's Friday 10th February at Comedy, 7 Oxendon Street, opp. Planet Hollywood nr Pic. Circus. Click here for a flyer and the first ever chance to see slim play the four-string live! you have to click on the safari flyer to print.
